Trump will be “coming in hot.” While it typically takes time for a new president to get acclimated to office and even a second term president may have obligations that detract from their ultimate goal, Trump is in the unique situation of being familiar with the office and relatively unburdened by previous initiatives. He will “hit the ground running.”
No wonder, then, that markets have begun aggressively pricing in the lift of any regulatory overhangs from stocks that are impacted. Companies in financials, healthcare, trucking, gaming and more that have faced threats from federal regulations have seen their share prices increase since the election.
